How to play
Let each word choose your next letter
Make a word of at least four letters using only the seven letters in the loop. Every word must contain the glowing required letter, but that letter can appear anywhere—not only at the beginning.
The final letter of an accepted word becomes the next required letter. Visit all seven letters as required letters, then return to the predetermined starting letter to close the loop.
You can repeat letters inside a word and revisit letters along your route. There is no timer or failure state, so a detour never prevents you from finishing.
The clean route
What is a Perfect Loop?
A Perfect Loop closes in exactly seven accepted words: six words visit each other letter once, and the seventh returns to the start. Every puzzle is checked in advance to contain multiple practical seven-word routes whenever possible.
Sevenfold records turns, total letters entered, your longest word, and detours. Fewer turns are the main measure, but every closed loop is a complete result.
Hundreds of loops
Familiar words, verified routes
Each numbered puzzle has a fixed seven-letter pool, starting letter, accepted words, and route quality, generated deterministically from the site’s pinned core English word list.
Only the selected compact puzzle file is downloaded. Your route, best result, and completed puzzle numbers stay in this browser’s local storage, and the spoiler-free share card never includes your words or letter order.
Common questions
FAQ
Must the word start with the required letter?
No. The required letter may appear anywhere in the word. The word’s final letter always determines where the loop moves next.
Can I use the same letter twice in a word?
Yes. The loop shows seven distinct letter types, but a word such as APPLE may repeat an available letter.
Why was a real word rejected?
The game uses a deliberately compact list of familiar words. Proper nouns, abbreviations, rare terms, marked language, and words outside the selected puzzle’s seven letters are not accepted.
What happens if a word ends on the current letter?
The word is accepted, but the loop stays on that letter. It counts as a turn and a detour, and you can continue normally.
