Angle Field

A field of small lines turns with its neighbors while the background drifts through color.

How it moves

Local motion in angle space

Each line begins at a random angle. On every update, it responds to the angles and rotational velocities of its immediate neighbors. Over time, local groups begin to turn together, separate, and reorganize across the field.

Every five seconds, the background receives a new translucent color from a broad palette. A long CSS transition blends one color into the next while the lines continue to move independently.
